Come on Peeps!!! Indiana Fees

My experience has been there are a lot of Addie types out there who will say they charge a minimum of $500.00 or more when in reality grabbing anything they can get their hands on. So whatever your poll shows take a minimum of 10% off the higher range and you will probably end up being closer to the real number.

Ummm... No.

OP: You don't need to know what others charge for their services since you are free to charge whatever you think your work is worth.

PM me for my (former) client list. :)
I work for company that is offering to pay reasonable and customary fees for the stated areas based off a poll they did. The fees they are quoting are from 17 yrs ago when I started appraising. I think I am worth more. Without evidence to the contrary of their research I don't have a leg to stand on.

Consider using both legs...and stand on your own. I will pray for your success.

I stand on my own thank you. Its sad that a forum of adult professionals speak to one another in this manner. If we would come together as a profession there would be more stable fees. When young appraisers come into our profession and are given these low fees they don't know that higher fees are paid. They only see the low ball fees and take them not knowing better. I know better. I know what I am being quoted is not customary and reasonable. However, they are stating fees that these inexperienced appraisers accept because they don't have a place to turn for guidance. Hopefully, they won't come here. I'm praying for you brother.

I sincerely apologize. I confess that I assumed you were an AMC rep from your initial post. Now I pay the price by looking like an ***.

If you've been lowballed for 17 yrs...I stand by my advice tho. Why continue working for that company? Why not go independant? You have the years and creds to get your own clients.
