Comparables Mapping Software

Have used the same combo ever since the Map guy passed; ACI software & Bing Maps provides everything I have needed over the past 15+ years.
2-3 clicks and done, easy, peasy

Back in the day; Maps & Red Arrows with hand drawn Subj. & Comps

Wow, Bing has been that functional since 2006 right under my nose. I would still prefer MS Streets but am grateful there are replacements like Bing/Google maps.

How do you get labels on the comps. I've never been able to customize.

Its pretty simple, right click on the location, scroll down to the bottom of the pop-up menu, I think its custom annotation or something like that, select it then type your name like Comp 1, Land sale 1 etc.

we all overlook some simple solutions at times, actually prefer Bing over Google (for Residential)

I have a hard time believing that I could have missed this for 15 years.

I just did a sample and this is what it looks like. I don't see changing the icons as possible, but I could be wrong.

My software brings it into play with everything Labeled (ACI) ; are you using different software ??

I was fine without this but now that it's my only option I can live with it. Thanks to all who recommended it several years ago.

In my maps there's the option to recolor the placeholders. Snip map and labels window at left together...or cut/paste/group map and list to bring it together.
I've been using Valcre...their maps allow some modifications for overlap which N1 did not.
I use my maps to get the 1,000 mile up view for comps relationship to each other then do a Googlemap drive/add stops for routing...emailed to self...phone links to car audio...that's been a game changer!

I'm using Google Earth Pro. The regular Google maps and aerials that come loaded in the program are usually enough for most of my projects. I have imported several other maps into the application that have proven to be useful on occasion, including: Bing Maps (produces a clearer road map sometimes), USGS Topographic Maps, FWS Wetlands & Riparian Maps, National Flood Hazard Layer (FEMA) Maps, and OpenStreetMap. It has a line draw function that I use to outline my neighborhood. I like to incorporate aerial and road maps, which Google Earth can change by just clicking a box. It is generally pretty quick and accurate at locating addresses. It will let me drop pins wherever I'd like. My only gripe with it is that I wish there were more customization with the positioning of labels in relationship to the pins.
