Congress woman calling you racist again, another nail after 3.6.

Did you buy the farm you own now, or was it inherited?
Part one and part the other. My brother and I bought a total of 56 acres and I inherited 40. I did some trading with my brother to end up with 80 total acres, and my brother got some cattle from me. The total per acre in the years before WWII was $10 per acre. At the time, the typical wages were about $2 per day. When he and mom married, he did not own a car, just a cow and because he wasn't 21 yet, his father bought the land in his name. Dad paid on the land until drafted. Grandad paid the note and actually added about 14 acres to the property from the same seller, who had moved to Kansas. Dad paid him back after the war. I've got the old mortgage, paid off in 10 years at 6% interest.
