No, just speaking about the potential consequences of excessive greed and corruption. Thanks for the compliment. You too have a nice evening, Mr. Jerk. (just thought I'd throw that in there, because it seems forum rules about being nice and no name calling are evidently not enforced) :D

Actually forum rules are enforced but there are only three people who moderate this forum, and we have JOBS.

If you feel that there is a violation of forum rules then you would, as member of this community, use the REPORT POST function of this forum and one of will get to your complaint when we are available.

This is a professional forum and all posters should treat it as a professional forum.

And in case if you are wondering if I take your post personally, the answer is YES.

The gentleman clearly indicated he did not wish to be called "comrade". He is a proud veteran of our armed forces and yet anther poster referred to him with that very same term again. Whether in jest or not I also do not appreciate former members of out armed forces being insulted on what is supposed to be a professional forum that at times represents appraisers in a not so professional manner.

I am nut sure why you would take that post personally. Most forum members certainly understand that moderators are not available to babysit this fine group of professionals every hour of the day. However, the fact is that name calling occurred and the moderators have chosen not to remove the term that was used.

I'm confused a bit. First I'm not sure to whom your remark was intended.

Second I am curious about something. When you suggested that I was a coward earlier was it because of the fact that I've never been in the service, or because of what I said in my post?

It was in reply to Mr Rex calling me comrade, just forgot to quote his post.

For you initially calling me comrade. After that your gang piled on with all their accusations of me being communist, socialist, liberal, etc. If you said that to my face or in front of a crowd, I would never let you get away with it. No physical confrontation, regardless of your situation, because I am not prone to violence. But you would have a verbal battle on your hands.

I still don't get it. How does me calling you "comrade" make me a coward?

Also, how is the vitriol you exhibit toward the wealthy (clearly a tactic of class warfare) somehow morally acceptable and thus different from the vitriol of which you complain about on the right?

As for you being a veteran, good for you. God bless you. Thank you for your service. But what does that have to do with the topic at hand?

You don't see yourself as a socialist. You probably aren't. But then why are you taking up their arguments? Socialism doesn't work. The Soviets proved that. Even Europe has come to that realization. But not us. Plenty in this country are still willing to give it a go.

One of the great things about America, in contrast to Europe and Asia, is that this is a "classless" society. There is no aristocracy in the European sense. Yes there are the wealthy. But with the right combination of talent, determination, education and hard work, the attainment of wealth is possible, virtually to all.

Lastly, I don't have a gang. I suspect others felt your tone and comments were offensive to the spirit of what America is all about and were moved to comment.
