that is you isn't it, Greg?

If the hole is from a door knob, just put up one of these.

The product you are trying to view is not currently available.

Greg, What's up with that?

I think you would have a hard time finding a professional to show up for less than $100. Kind of like those of you who charge a trip fee.

There are plenty of "handyman" type of services out there that would do this job, at least in my area. I'm still thinking in the $50 range, as it is so simple and can be done in less than 15 minutes. Almost all of the cost is the labor, and I know of several of these businesses that would consider this kind of job as a goodwill gesture, they will fix the hole in 10 minutes, and get back to you later to finish, or show you how to finish it yourself. Not what you would call a money maker for the contractor, but the good will or referrals can be a goldmine for them.

I don't know. The link works for me. It could be a cookie thing. Try the Ace Hardware link instead of Home Depot. The price is a lot higher, $2.79. :rof:
Why do I have the sneaking suspicion that everytime I observe one of those in a house now, I wil be forced to ask, "Is there a hole in the drywall behind there?"

There is stuff you can buy in Home Depot it looks like a screen you put it over the hole, plaster, sand and paint cost about $2.70

My ole buddy, the private insurance adjuster, will give you a number.

In order to restore the room to the exact condition prior to your shanked tee shot:
tear out all drywall on affected wall including but limited to;
1- site preparation, demolition, positive air flow system to avoid contamination of adjacent living areas, hazmat suits, debris hauling and landfill costs.
2- removal of drywall nails ( or screws ) from existing studs
3-replacement of damaged insulation
4-installation and finishing of drywall, including but not limited to, all adjacent walls affected by drywall removal.
5-Interior decorator fee and spectrometer to ascertain exact color replication
6-Prep and painting of all walls and ceilings to exact decorator specifications
7-Clean up

Total estimated hard cost: $23,784
