Crashing and crashing

In case you are getting frustrated, please join the club. Over the past several months, Total crashes without warning and without reason. In most cases, the program recovers, and the reports are workable from the last saved moment, but it's happening to many appraisers using different machines and different versions of Windows. All appraisers in my firm have had issues over and over. We send a tech support request every time.

I've spoken to their tech support personally, and I've been assured they are working on it on the highest levels.

I'm only putting this out here, because I have received no communication from Alamode about this problem and I figure many other appraisers are in the same boat wondering.

Hopefully, they'll find a resolution soon.
I used Wintotal for years, we had all the tech support and it crashed all the time. I've had Clickforms for 5 years and I don't know if it's because It's only me and my trainee now instead of a big office, but I've only crashed once and it was Windows related and they got me up again quickly.

I’ve considered Bradford but it’s just really hard to convert at this point, especially in a network environment like I’ve built at the office. I may reach out to you sometime.

BTW - AF doesn’t allow a message to you privately. Not sure you are aware of that.
 
I have talked to some appraisers in the area that use Alamode and are also having issues. Other smaller software vendors are leery of taking on Alamode customers because of their constant need for phone support. It seems Alamode customers need phone support constantly, and the smaller vendors can't accommodate that type of support.

Yes, at the old office, we had such a huge database of everything everyone had ever done so I can see where that would be difficult to switch. I liked the Inspects Alot App Bradford has on the IPad but I still use Apex for sketches. I downloaded the 2 week trial from the website and they have a converter for Wintotal and the MLS Import is pretty good. I'll check my AF settings, my Malwayre Bytes does not like AF lately.
 
the sure cure, not the most fastest, is to re install windows where it is a fresh start. then you have to re install every program from scratch, which takes time. gotta have all those bought codes to re install all those bought programs. then everything works beautifully, and fast.
this is the final solution, and i have tried them all, but at least everything runs great for a year or more. take the pain and just do it. in the long run it will be less painful than the continuing issues.
you other choice is a new computer. at some point a newer faster chip computer, and not that expensive, is an improvement in productivity, and mental health.
 
I miss the days when Biggers followed this forum and would actually have someone call you and fix your issues if he saw the post, the good old days!
Or would get mad, cancel your account.
