Since I do things with Chief Architect Home Designer Pro - it will generate a doll house from the floorplan with the push of a button. --- and you can of course rotate it up, down and all the way around. But, Cubi Casa integrates the video with the doll house - so you can see the colors, appliances, and so on ( with the junk stripped out).
The problem is that to get the GLA accurately, you really have to have your own CAD drawing. You need the CAD to get the GLA. That CubiCasa floorplan won't do the trick. You could throw in the dollhouse view without the measurements for the heck of it. In any case, I will admit, having the CubiCasa floorplan is both a backup and shows you enough to speed up your own CAD drawing. So, I will use it in the future. The question, like I said in a previous post, is whether or not to do my own interior room measurements - and I am guessing I will do at least a few to check the accuracy of CubiCasa, but not all - unless the client requests it. I will of course to all exterior measurements and the garage and make not of the approx. dimensions of sizeable dead spaces like openings at the top of stairs, heating areas and so on.
