Does anyone use Day 1 Nova software still? I used to use it and most of the bulk of my 20 years are in nova format. If not, what in general is the most preferred software everyone is using? I've been reviewing for the past 2 years for a firm and now I want to get back into it on my own. Any comments would help. Thanks.:)

Personal preference is alamode.

Software is like football teams...everyone has their favorite and knocks all of the competitors.

We use Dayone. Pricing seems to the be best. I have been using the demo for Clickforms, software is not too bad so far, AreaSketch is a joke compared to WinSketch, Apex is fancy but a bit tough to hop right into. Clickforms is much more expensive on a monthly/annual basis with additional users than Dayone. Not wild on who owns Dayone these days......

May check out alamode to see how it works.

I use DayOne and I hate it.

I like DayOne but I think that I'll buy something else next time. I won't support Zaio.

Not selling Day 1 but it has worked for me for 15-16 years.

kiss.

Tried Alamode/Wintotal 2-3 years ago .

sucked.

fwiw.

Been using day 1 also for about 15 years or so. Its OK, but have never really tried any of the other software programs to compare it to.

My main beef with Dayone is mapping. For us it works a mere 50% of the time, even with solid addresses. So if the map will not come up and you try it again, your map count goes down. Thats why I have good ol' sticky arrows for backup.

Clickforms has a fully functional demo available for 30 days. Just watch your phone and email for many multiple sales calls.

FWIW, in the recent past I have become a bit more 'socially conscious' as it applies to the appraisal profession, and have become concerned about things like, who owns the software company, who are the software company's allies, and what are the agendas of the software company, before I buy. Lots of info in here on this. None of this may mean anything at all to you.
I have used ACI and Day One Nova in the past, but for myself, I will not contribute my hard-earned dollars to these 2 companies at this time due to my perception that they may not have the best interests of working appraisers at heart. I believe they now have other interests, revenue streams and agendas that I believe go directly against the BEST interests of appraisers and contribute to the current state of affairs.
I like to vote and possibly send a message with my dollars whenever I can.

I have used DayOne/Nova since 1987 and plan to continue to use it because I have it all figured out and don't want the hassle of attempting to figure out something else. Also my office is based on the eleven years of sales data of everything residential property offered for sale (whether FSBO or MLS) or/and sold saved into the Nova data base. Without that data base my office couldn't function, since there is no reliable computerized data (except my own) available in my area.
