Discount for a "NO CONTACT" inspection

One of the more idiotic posts today and it is just Monday.

Stop offering discounts esp for new construciton work , be a professional or go home...offering an Amazon card can be construed as a bribe - unbelievable
Now Now JG-you need to be more compassionate and kind , after all we are in a pandemic and may of us are feeling disenfranchised and concerned about our futures and a $50.00 gift card would sure make me and Uncle Billy feel warm and fuzzy , because it would buy us a months worth of his favorite cheap lite beer and after we both drank 5 or 6 cans each, we would then love each other again , watch old movies together and talk about how he lost all his life savings to his last Trophy Wife. So $50 Bucks can mean a lot in a pandemic , hell we are stuck watching virtual NASCAR, with no fans in the seats, and we quit watching virtual basketball and base ball because we kneel before no-man except the God of Abraham or the Yenta when She is on a war path. So our entertainment has pretty much gone down the drain and now its just whiskey for the men and beer for the horses. Anyway lighten up just a little after all we are all in this together and if this C-19 thing goes on for another year or two we may all be giving out gift card for business or asking for reparations or free houses :)

I haven’t taken a sick day in 16 years of appraising. Don’t plan to now either. The last six months have been less stressful for me, everybody is home, scheduling is easy, and the roads aren’t as crowded. Or at least used to be. Now as people are getting back to normal with their lives, traffic has picked up.

It's really smart to insult other appraisers on a public forum, you must be a real genius.

No a bribe has to exceed $500.00 dollars :) LOL
cheap paid appraisers offer cheap bribes lol -maybe she posted it as a joke only kinda dont' think so but still, Am sorry If I was not nice but - my advice stands, could have been kinder in delivery, but act professional because owners will turn on us on a dime even if they accept a small token, offering gifts or incentives of any kind to a property owner is a terrible idea -be safer at inspections during covid minimize contact have them wait outside or in one area, the studies also show it is prolonged indoor exposure and proximity with greatest risk of spread, in and out of a room in 10 seconds far from the occupant imo minimal risk.

I changed my mind about it because it seems better to just to quote lower for a "no contact" interior versus occupied home. We are in the home stretch of this Covid thing so a few more months and we are looking at a vaccine and herd immunity. We did it with H1N1 and SARS, which are both coronaviruses. No one needs to get super sick right now, I don't care if you think it is just a bad cold.

Nor have I! I have an upper respiratory infection at the moment, along with a minor fever, but I'm sure it's nothing. At any rate, I'm sure it's not contagious.. :rof: :rof:

There Is NO such thing as a "no contact " interior, it is either an interior inspection or if it is a 1004 desktop or a 2055 ext. If you dont' believe me, ask your clients.

A few AMC's had an idiot idea about a no contact inspection and were slapped down by fannie and withdrew them. If you are that worried then stop doing any interiors. I am not one of the morons who thinks covid is a fairy tale or will just go away and I doubt we will get a magic vaccine soon, so I am careful on inspections and take precautions and limit socializing - am still here (for now)

well, be careful - it could be nothing , a regular flu, or could be covid. Call your doctor as a precaution, tests are available now and if dr recommends you get tested then do it...

You really need a drink, J. I was just kidding... I don't think marijuana is legal in FL yet, so I'd never encourage someone to break the law, but...
