Our state requires it be taken in person. Some state require some classes be taken in person. I think OK wants you to take half your CE in personmost appraisers loathe the online USPAP classes
And there would be those of us that would miss your snoring--it's what keeps me up!Taking USPAP on line is MUCH more difficult than in class. Passing that quiz twice before moving on is not easy. Have to say, I learn MORE by taking it on line, but what a pain. Better to take it in class and doze off.![]()
I’ll add that the $399 includes a USPAP book or PDF if you take it online. Given that most appraisers loathe the online USPAP classes, and try to take a live class, the cost is a deal if you time the two year subscription well to use for two renewal cycles. Most USPAP classes are $125-150 plus the $70 book, so $399 unlimited isn’t bad. Some of the McKissock courses are getting stale, but I can see the difficulty in getting a course approved in 50 states plus districts.
Spoken like a true frat boy. That's no way to go through life son.Better to take it in class and doze off.![]()
I have not used McKissock in 5-6 years. I used to use them all the time, mostly for ease of use. I admit to procrastinating ALL the time when it comes to CE. Anyway, I wind up taking the courses in December, and usually after Christmas when things are slow. So one year I was really, really late, and finished up the last course on 12/31. But I was finished before midnight (about 11:00 ish). When I tried to print out/download the certificate, it would not let me. I contacted McKissock on Jan. 2 and they told me "sorry, you finished too late". I KNOW I didn't, and had someone sitting right next to me as a witness. They wouldn't budge. So that was money down the drain; I never used them again.
