Do we need an appraisers union?

Just saw a report where an appraisal general did a residential appraisal for $275.

Appraisers are cutting each others throats on fees.

This perfect competition stuff is going to bankrupt us all.

Does anyone else think we would be better off with a union?

What we need is a good fight song.

Look for the union label

It is my opinion that appraisers should be able to charge what they want.

Appraisers are cutting each others throats on fees.

A union won't change that. A union can't protect appraisers from themselves.

Everyone I speak with wants a Union now. I think it would be too late for a union now anyway, most of the damage has been solidified, and the profession is too fragmented. AI & NAIFA will prevail as our leaders and will make sure that nothing like this ever happens again.
