Does an appraiser get notified if their appraisal gets reviewed?

Citi

Did you ever get a chance to see a review or submit a rebuttal for the two properties in question? That would seem to be your best chance to get off a watch list or a blacklist. The quality of appraisal reviews varies a lot, and some of them are complete garbage.

No sir. Still waiting

You have proof that someone outside your own firm altered your report? I know that not everyone has the funds today to hire an attorney, but that would have to be your best option. Good luck to you, and keep us posted. It seems like we're hearing a lot of stories like this lately.

Peteles, I was removed from Citi's approved list for 2 appraisals dated back in 2007. I was never sent a copy of the appraisals they are looking at, so I have no idea what they based their decision on.

I have a letter to Citi sitting in Microsoft Word that I started writing a couple months ago. I think I have 3 sentences so far. There's a a part of me that says "why bother?" and another part that wants to fight it. I just feel very pushed doen right now. I guess I'm quietly hoping Citi's ship will somehow miraculously sink.
(ya, I know.... but a girl can dream can't she?)

You cannot let them get away with this.. unfortunately, 2 of my biggest clients use CITI so I lost 100% of their biz which is substantial for me. Ask for the reviews completed at the time of the appraisal and the review completed to take you off of the list. You may find, as i did, that there was fraud involved. Now... If I can just get them to LISTEN!!!... Good luck.. keep me posted.

Thanks Peteles, I am working on the letter. I just want it to be a good letter!

Currentoly, I'm going to school for my paralegal cert , so I am learning a a thing or two. It's helping me decide on what approach would be best. Since I know I can't write, "F-you Citi Bank!!! I don't need your stinkin' appraisals!!!"

That miiiiiight be a little unprofessional... Unlesssss.......... I take the "stinkin' " part out. Hmmmm.... I think that just might work....

(Sadly, I spent most of today on Craigslist looking for a fulltime job)

Good luck to you!!! I hope it works out and you get 'em good!!!

I have an aquaintance who has a resperatory therapy lic and makes over 100K a year working whenever she wants.. You may want to look into that if you have the time?
It should only take a minute to contact Citi about your appraisals.. Just ask for the original review, the recent review and why they disagree with yuor reports. Couldn't hurt. Then write the nastiest rebuttal they have ever seen. The more of us that pile on may make a difference?

Good luck
