I forgot to update this from last week ..... during all the confusion and stuff ..... the Doc weighed me in at 268 lbs, so that is 20 lbs in about 2 months or so .... Yippee .....<splat>

Yeah, but wasn't 10 pounds of that taken off your head recently???

kidding

TC

Yeah ... I sneezed ...

FWIW

I've found the best exercise is "push aways"! (from the table)

I eat everthing I want, but just half of it............I've managed to lose about 20-25 lbs in the past 2 years. I don't feel deprived (depraved maybe??) and I eat what ever I want, now I do focus on eating "good" stuff and try to avoid "plastic foods"

As I grown (?) older I've found that red meat hurts me, so I tend to eat more chicken, pork and fish.........not to say that I don't indulge in a nice filet here and there (but, I do pay for it...........but, with everything comes a price).

Plus, I go to the grocery store a couple of times a week and get a cut up fruit salad and add other fruits and eat this through the morning.........I claim "I think better when I'm grazing"........sounds good???? Plus, I don't feel starved at lunch and can again eat half as much.

I more align with Weight Watchers than the "new fangled" fad types and firmly believe that one has to burn more than one consumes....

The dogs have also benefited from the walks.............if I'm gonna have to walk the mile, they're gonna too! (no dog left behind!) They now look forward to it and if it's raining, well they're totally bummed..............funky wet dog smells are gross.....unfortunately, they don't seem to understand that!

Bottom line: burn more than you consume!

I am not really following anyone's diet ... just eating less and getting more exercise ..... The welding usually picks up this time of year and hauling steel and and sweating really takes off the weight .... this time I plan to keep it off .... I am drinking water, avoiding pasta and white breads, and snacking on carrotts through the day .... and I eat a lot of popcorn ... which helps everything .... I don't eat out, and eat more salads than normal, for exercise I am walking, riding my bike, roller bladeing working my can off.... so far it seems to be working .... all fo my friends are losing weight too .... they are laughing theirs off watching a 270 lb redneck trying to roller blade!!!

 My imagination is overloaded! :rainfro: [/b][/quote]
That could also be ugly and dangerous - for the kids that he stole them from.

I used to be a mean roller skater, but let me tell you .... if you haven't tried the blades .... those things are a work out all by themselves!!! Since my last knee surgery I have to wear an ACL brace whenever I go out, which doesn't help things, but is pretty easily worked around. Lisa made a video (which will NEVER see the light of day) and I didn't do that badly ..... now if I can just cut my recovery time down to 3 days, I might actually get some work done! If gas prices keep going up, they may be a viable alternative for local work!

How do those things do on gravel roads? :rainfro: :rainfro: :rainfro:

BTW - we've all got your numbers - we could find some way to get that put on the web - might even get viewed more than Jan#T or Poris.
