Hi all -- I have recently relocated to eastern Tennessee and I would like to know from appraisers in the area what the typical fee for a 1004 is? Where I came from, it's $300. Thanks for any input.

I don't think people will post here their fees. What I would do is search the internet for companies in your area and look up their fees that way.

Well, if you use the typical barter language such as 300 raccoon pelts ...

why don't you just look up some local firm's websites and see what they post on their website for fees....many have a base fee schedule posted online

Add $100 and if the clients protest, you can lower it $25 each time 'til they sigh in relief.

It all depends which part of East TN you are in. If its Knoxville, you will have a lot of competition, if its a Rural section, you can obviously charge much more.

If you are in Newport or any part of Cocke County I would charge 3X. You are going to need a translator and a bodyguard.
