To see the actual zone (X,A,etc) hit the green button that located next to the map # and the date .... if you are not getting the # and date then your popup stopper is preventing it from loading ... Zone Alarm will stop the process too. When you get your actual map and select your panel you should have a total of 3 FEMA windows open on your desk top if all is working correctly .....
I must be missing something. I can get the panel and date but no actual zone. I do have a pop up blocker but holding down the ctrl key disables it....I just cant get the zone, I see the map where zones are written , but its tough to pinpoint the subject from their maps. Thx for any help.
Zoom in to your area and notice the red block on the map at the top left .... when you click on "Make firmette" you will need to remember where that red block was on the shrunken master map on the previous page in order to move the Green block into the proper area on the firmette page. Notice the options to the left of the firmette and change them to 8.5x14 and once it re-loads, scroll down until you can click on "make picture file". It will save as a .tiff file and you will need then to manipulate the map from your .tiff file in your photo software. Rotate it .. put a mark or arrow to identify the approximate location of your property and re-save it in order to import it into your report. It is really very easy and very fast unless you are on dial up, then you will spend more time waiting on the pages to update that you will producing your final map.
Can anyone offer a suggestion for a resulting blank FIRMette page? I’ve tried the .tif & .pdf options but both give me a blank map with the FIMA info to the right.
