FHA and bare concrete floors

I'm not going to split hairs with FHA over this. They stated how they want the appraisal and that's how they get it.

Can't be a good sign when they keep lowering the bar.
Yeah, but they make the rules, I just serve my clients based on the parameters given. We saw a lot of changes in the early 90's with the last S&L failure/bailout, lending got tight. Same thing happed this time, gobment regulations and "everyone has a right to own a home" got in the way of rational reasoning. This too will turn around, just got to realize it and be ready for the changes when it does.

Throw down the old soiled carpet from the other thread. That ought to raise the value of the now "finished" basement.

It says that in the 4910 (new construction/existing construction less than 12 months) but it doesn't say the same thing in the 4905 (existing construction more 12 months).

Ask for clarification.

Knowledge, indicated by the above post, leads me to believe not much gets by that poster in the appraisal world.

UB a sharp cookie and probably should be working for HUD instead of some that do, not to insult some that do.

I'm in the process of applying for an opening at SAHOC. But I can't find my DD-214 proving I'm a disabled Vietnam Era Veteran (worth an extra 10 points on the appliation.)

Good luck, why don't you volunteer to clean up their handbook(s) LOL!

I can just see myself on my first day trying to tell Brad and his pack how things need to be done? lol
