FHA Bedroom Egress Photo Requirement

There's no such published requirement... however, this reviewer is requiring it. You can argue about... ask the reviewer to cite the source or to show where that was in Client guidelines provided to you before you accepted the assignment. You might win.. but you will spend a fair bit of time doing it Or... you could just provide the requested photograph.

Give them the MLS photo, to show them a proof from a 3rd party, with that comment on it. If not a sale, agree with owner's photo will do. On some of my little row homes a picture of a window would only show that 1 wall. Stip, please show rest of room. Now you know for that lender what always to do. In most detached homes i get a window in every bedroom.

You can ask the homeowner to take a picture of the bedroom with the window on their phone and text it to you - since you already inspected the room personally.
Been there, done that.

Reviewers are mostly disgruntled appraisers who struggled to cut it in the fee world. Or are newly credentialed and have no business reviewing ****. And they have a lot of free time on their hands. Bad combination.

A man after my own heart!

I recently had a photo of a bathroom where the toilet was not visible. I got a revision that they wanted a photo of the toilet. 27 years and I am being questioned on the toilet like I don't know what a bathroom consists of. I can't wait to get out of this business.

I got that one when the refrigerator wasn't visible.

Do you think reviewers talk amongst themselves....
Asking why are appraisers so lazy/careless for missing items....

I think it's Flacco who said he takes multiple shots/angles of each room....
Everyone should be doing the same....

I do, but occasionally even we superior appraisers make a mistake.

I inspected a house the other day and didn't realize a 6 year old was trying to hide on the couch. Thank you, Photoshop.

Was it 2010 that interior photos of all bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen & 1 major living area was required....
A year or 2 later some of my clients want interior photos of all rooms, so I included them for all of my clients....
Letter of engagement specifically mentioned for bathrooms and kitchen photos should include all fixtures and appliances....
