Final Inspection for another appraiser's FHA report

The funny thing is I have never had a "the appraiser is out of town" on a simple cookie cutter new construction property where the final inspection is to simply go to the property after completed, it's ALWAYS some weird older property that had some major issues and work that needed to be completed, NEVER something easy, that's been my experience anyway.
Appraisers like everyone else go on vacation. Or are just out of town for other reasons. Do you think we appraisers are glued to our desks/cars?

I remember one year we had three appraisers all die in a three month time period and no they did not do their final 1004Ds :) LMAO

Ive been taking a lot of vacation this year to make up for the past few.

How rude of them!
Yeah the best one was one who was out measuring on a 105 degree day and he sat on a lawn chair and died with his old metal tape in his hand. The owner thought he was sleeping and didnt call 911 for over an hour. O 'well we cancelled the order and got another appraiser to go back out and we paid for it because owner was traumatized by the first one dying on the job.

You worked your appraisers to death!

Many were old like me now, heck the VA Panel back then looked like they had been let out of a Nursing Home, borrowers used to call and say the VA was into elder abuse. I would tell them we don't hire them VA sends them the order.:) LOL

Many times the borrower refis from a contruction loan to a permanent loan and 1004D is not required. And sometimes the lender just doesn't get one.
