Ever since last week, I've been having flea bites right above my ankles mostly on my right leg.
I notice it at end of day when I take a hot shower, the flea bite shows up.
I'm thinking a flea jumped on me when I saw a house with a dog or cat.
I figured the flea or maybe a tick will die of natural causes or should I be more aggressive and thoroughly "bombed" the inside of the car?
And in the future, how can I avoid fleas hitching a ride on me?

Wear flea collars around your ankles. LOL

Seriously, are you having new bites every day? Or are they the original bites which are just being aggravated by the hot water?

If they are the original bites, but you notice them more after the shower, then quit showering. LOL Actually, they should just go away after a while.

However, if you are getting new bites daily, then you have an infestation somewhere. For that you need to take action. I've never bombed my car, but I've had to bomb my house a couple of times. I'd be a little concerned about having that much poison in such a small enclosed space with lots of upholstery to absorb the poison. Talk to a vet's office. They should have some recommendations.

Good luck.

A nice medication tip is to go to your drug store/supermarket and go to the area where they have tooth paste and other items for dental/mouth care. You want something that treats sore gums (oral-gel or something like that). Rub some on the bits and after a short time you will not notice them. I always carry insect repellent in my car and have used it when I notice the creatures crawling on me.

Try Borax in the car, you'll find it in the laundry aisle. And hydrocroizone cream for your legs!

Stop allowing your pets to sleep on your bed.

And, what has this got to do with running an appraisal business?

One time I did a really nice house on the south side of town. The place and its occupants appeared to be very clean and they had a big white dog that was pretty friendly.

I took off my shoes when I went inside and was just wearing socks and shorts (100+ degrees). I noticed the bottoms of my legs were itching but I was fairly preoccupied with the inspection so I just ignored it.

When I got outside and went to put my shoes on my legs had about 20+ fleas on each leg.....creepy.:Eyecrazy:

I think fleas are a violation of USPAP. :rof:

Aren't Appraisal Port fees a form of flea bites?

Get some mentholated chest rub. (Vicks or something along those lines).

Put a little bit on your shoes. Fleas hate menthol.

I bought a flea spray from a pet store.
No more problem but the smell stinks.
I hope I won't die from the fumes.
