Florida Ranks? - Can You Add to List?

I still believe in the public school system. My wife is a principal at a K-5 school that has received the rating of "A" for the past five years along with many others schools in the area.

My daughter who happens to be a very bright seven (7) year old attended a private school from K-4 to K-5, and now attends my wife school (saving approx. $8,000.00). She learning just as much if not more at a public school.

The majority of the time it not the schools system. It's the parents who tend to neglect their children at earlier ages. It like building a house if you don't build a strong foundation the house will not last, before you know it repairs are needed everywhere, by then it too late.

Jim, government run schools are not allowed to have anything Christmas related, thanks to the All Crazy Lunatics United (ACLU) and other organizations like them. That's why government schools have "Winter Break".

Know what's interesting about that? My sister's kids go to school in Maryland, arguably one of the most liberal-voting states in the union. Oddly enough, their public schools system allows a whole lot more pro-religion and pro-millitary activities than any school district here in Florida (usually a red state) would dream of.

It may just be a holdover of the good old days when Yankees up north would impose their liberal ideals on us hicks down South, all the while having no intention of living by the same rules themselves. Not really sure what that's all about.
