Not sure if this has been posted yet (I couldn't find it), but the AF has a link to a free PDF of USPAP. It is only USPAP, and not the complete book (AOs, etc). I have to wonder what is behind this. With all the challenges to the copyright-ability of the document, I wonder if they are segregating USPAP out from the book for potential legal challenges.

From the AF website:
The Real Property Development, Real Property Reporting and Appraisal Review Standards of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) (collectively, “Standards”) have been cited by the Federal financial institution regulatory agencies in their rulemaking for implementing Title XI of the Financial Institution Reform, Recovery and Enforcement Act (FIRREA) and are hereby provided to the public .

I don't believe this has anything to do with preparation for legal challenges. The current edition of USPAP has been viewable for free for many years on TAF's website.

I've never seen a pdf version of just the standards. They have had that flash version of the entire book before, but that was not downloadable.

How will everyone know if the appraisers are complying with USPAP, if no one who is not an appraiser, knows what USPAP says?

:rof::rof::rof:

Notice the AOs and FAQs don't count.

:ROFLMAO:

Pay to play if you want in with TAF.

TAF's online USPAP app was always easy to find on their website. It's actually a little more difficult now than it was before.
