Ga Forum Is Imploding - Keep It Clean

He states: If you post a "rule' or "technique" and fail to post the source proving that it is acceptable It will be deleted.
Someone needs to post the following on the split foyer page:

FNMA states, "For consistency in the sales comparison analysis, the appraiser should compare above-grade areas to above-grade areas and below-grade areas to below-grade areas. The appraiser may need to deviate from this approach if the style of the subject property or any of the comparables does not lend itself to such comparisons."

Robert, please (per your own rules) post the rule where appraisers are not allowed to deviate from comparing the lower level as basement if it is on grade when it does not lend itself to such comparisons with that type of house. If you can't, please obey the forum rules and delete your posts. Thanks.

I posted two sources for something today, and he deleted my posts - and all I was doing was posting the source for someone else.... I just looked at it and after every post - he comes on posts "state your source."

I have communicated with the AF Admin and discussed the situation at the GA Forum and the last thread. His issue is that many of us were pasting screenshots of the GA Forum which he viewed as a possible copyright infringement.

So. No posting screenshots of the GA Forum. Maybe keep the bashing to a minimum or to the monitors tolerance. But we can continue to keep in touch here for now and I'd like to hear what goes on there hoping beyond hope that JB has some kind of recourse he can execute to gain control again.

For the record I'm officially locked out for expressing my opinion - Where I asked him how is It we can help him reach his goals if he keeps blocking all of the members which have built the forum, including John Bryant? Exact words.. that was all it took.

Also - FalconFanKen had a forum does anyone have the link? Is he still appraising and do you think he may consider ramping it up again? Last I looked the last post was many years ago.

You all are using a “Georgia” dedicated forum now. Why go somewhere else? Why not just continue using the AF Georgia Forum?

If you post that, it is not posting anything but a quote from FNMA and asking him to state his source.

It would be very difficult to understand if you did not experience what transpired. Although this is a great forum as well we were all trained by an exceptional man John Bryant and for many years, before online training became the norm, attended his classes together. John was instrumental and active on the forum through the years. We've all taken our lumps and learned a ton through some very heated discussions.

The forum had thousands of topics ranging all the way back to the early 2000's. We would often go back and site topics from a decade ago. John has been in semi retirement and decided to finally pass the forum on to someone. He chose someone who was not honest with him and the new moderator has ruled the forum like a tyrant and has even deleted the creator of the forum, John Bryant. Since he has done this all of our records of past discussions are also lost - an absolute treasure trove.

It is really the worst of the worst case scenarios anyone could have possibly imagined. We are gathering here in shock because no one could imagine anyone having the audacity to do what the new moderator has done.

For example: The new moderator would have deleted your post I quoted above because you expressed an opinion that was contrary to my original topic and he'd view it as a threat. And if you posted again saying "why did you delete my post wouldn't you rather like to discuss the idea?" you would be banned from the forum permanently. Can you imagine how that would make you feel? All the work and knowledge you've put into this forum to be so recognized here as an elite member? That is what has happened to all of us and even the creator of the forum. It is unprecedented.

That is the long answer. Short one: The AF will gain some new active and knowledgeable members through these events. But having some resemblance of the GA forum is needed as well as John Bryant intended to use it to stay in touch with everyone. We share a lot of memories and as much as we could try to get everyone on here we would lose many many contacts as we are all pretty old now and the only reason why they came back to that forum was because of its creator and out of habit.

Guys please just give up on him. The best vengeance would be to let him soil in the mess he's created. I'm quite sure that everyone who is anyone on that forum already knows its a lost cause. Why give him the satisfaction of the power trip?

I miss djd09. He should have been warned more to cool down more instead of being banned. I’m guessing he is the one that got suspended. I could be wrong. I miss Denis too. But I don’t see how djd09 could take that blame.

I was having my buttons pushed as much as anybody. JGrant told me to ignore. Lol

I would also wager you didn’t report the culprits or TRY to get them suspended. Nor did you cross the line when being intentionally baited. When you probably should have. I regret now not using the report feature more frequently re when appropriate for what was obvious bullying

Your too kind. I did report one time I think because I felt I had been reported due to a warning. The options are either ignore or report. I ignored a zillion times if that’s possible. lol
