Jo Ann,

I spent a brief time in Bisbee on my way to Mexico one spring break many many moons ago. I distinctly remember driving south on the main highway and looking to the east. All these cute multi level (clapboard?) homes placed precariously on the rocky hillsides. What a cool little 'wild west town' that place is.

My respect level for you (already pretty high) and your measuring fortitude has just jumped astronimically! You must be part mountain goat to get those things measured, Lady!!!

I have not completed any appraisals in Bisbee or Jerome, although I use to live in the Verde Valley below Jerome. Lived in a house that had originally been located in Jerome and was hauled up Oak Creek Canyon (that is a scary road) to Flagstaff when Jerome became a ghost town. And lenders worry about wheels, axles and tongues on manufactured homes!!!! Have measured some odd shaped and oddly located houses in Wickenburg and Clifton. Do you have any idea what it is like to be scared to death of heights, have a one foot wide ledge to walk on to measure a house with a drop of 50 to 100 feet on one side!! The reason why I have never dyed my hair, every one of those white hairs represent a lot of work--and worry about my six kids!! Those white hairs are my medals for fussing and stewing.
