Global Economy Bursting?

Now if we go ahead and expand the debt ceiling and continue accelerating spending increases .... we might get a GDP of .005% on the positive ......... but inflation would eat it all up .......

...... toilet paper will have more use than a dollar ... soon ....

MV=PQ;where PQ=GDP

M = money supply
V = velocity of money

P = price
Q = quantity

The money supply has grown and the velocity of money has slowed; hence GDP has slowed.

The economy is debt constrained. It can't grow because it can't service its debt. Printing money goes to buying debt (QE1 & QE2) and is not lent out in the fractional banking reserve system to businesses and consumers.

With yesterdays drop in the DOW .... I almost thought I was seeing a real market develope .....

... today ... they have managed to sell off commodities and shore up the equity markets ....

.....back to pretendville

... I'd say for the last 5 to 10 years our GDP was positive only because we could service the debt ....

... no matter who looks at it ......... at whatever angle you look at it ......

.... its a dead cat with no bounce left in it ....

THE VELOCITY OF MONEY IS FALLING WHICH IMPLIES GDP MUST FALL

I wonder if those recent 62,000 McDonald employees are still working there and if they are full time jobs?

I know both of them are still at my local McDonald's and the jobs are full-time with full benefits. Most appraisers would have been much better off to have gotten one of those positions, but I doubt they had the needed people skills.

Jobs report: 54,000 jobs added, but lower end. Unemployment up to 9.1%.
