Want to hear a story guys? Of course you do! I took the Certified Residential test in December of 2007. I took in on the 23rd, I think, the second to last chance in 2007. The reason being that I wanted to take the test before the new and advanced criteria of 2008 came into being in Massachusetts.
I failed. I missed by 1 question. And the worst part was that I went back and changed 3 answers, and I will never know what would have happened if I had left them alone, or maybe I would have missed it by 4 questions if I had left it alone.
Anyway, so I failed by one question. I was devastated. I immediately called the testing company, I believe it's Provisor (maybe), on the way home from the test in Boston. I finally get through and they tell me I have to wait a minimum of 24 hours before rescheduling a test after failing it. So I wait the 24 hours, I call back and there were no more certified residential tests in 2007.
Man, I was distraught! I had missed it by 1 question, and now I had to take the harder test, that was 20 (maybe 40) more questions and 3 more hours. I scheduled it for the first available spot.
It took me less than 1 hour, I flew through the test. I had studied for a couple hours that morning, using a "1001 Test Questions" study book.
I passed!!! It took me less than an hour and I passed the harder and longer Cert Res test, when I had failed the easier and shorter test less than 60 days before.
I think that's pretty cool.
