Almost 30 years living in FL - my personal life has not changed but nothing DeSantis has done has made FL better, just more crowded as corrupt zoning boards trade ag rights and develop land that was supposed to be set aside for conservation.

Coincidently, many of us had our personal lives turned upside down and inside out because of what many would describe as a lack of leadership and more of a sheep like obedience from our elected leaders during 2+ years of the COVID "pandemic". It was the governing and policies of your Governor that not only allowed you to continue on with living your personal life unchanged but led to to an influx of resident seeking personal freedom via an exodus from poorly governed states.

Also, the motto "Don't Tread on Me" from the Gadsden flag was used by an early version of the Marines during the American Revolution to show our willingness to act in self defense and vigilance. Not really a threat, more of a warning.

We can never know how many covid cases vacationers in crowded places,, partiers in spring break caught in Florida and spread all over America when they went home, increasing the Death Rate

The only reason Florida fared as well as it did with its own cases is because the most populated counties, Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach, all of them and their mayors defied DeSantis and enacted their own mask and social distance guidelines

What freedom are you being denied in your life ?

I've lived in FL almost 30 years, and it feels the same here with Desantis as it did before he took office -not more free , nor less free. The RW likes to campaign on freedom but they really are about is repression, they fire, fine, or punish any person or company who disagrees with them. DeSantis and is ilk are creating spies among regular folks to report friends, family, and neighbors, to spy on teachers, voters and anyone , observed doing or saying something they don't like - in some cases for a bounty
