I havent been doing this as long some, since 2001. Ive had this situation arise a few times and had the borrower text me a photo. The moon didnt fall, the seas didnt rise, and im still a pretty darn good appraiser.

I've had to do this once or twice (get an HO to send me a photo I missed.) Save the image in your work file. No one cares.

Avoid any and all unnecessary negative repercussions, take the photos yourself.

I would imagine everyone does take their own photos....
Sometimes it could more convenient for the homeowner to take A missing photo than take time out of their schedule waiting for the appraiser to go back.....
