Hot off alamode press, maybe not exactly ready.

Except that you can always take a month off to learn it - AFTER - it becomes mandatory, instead of torpedoing your $$$ flow while the present system is still functioning. If you've planned right, that is. Or two months off.

Just. Say. No.
Why do you think it damages cashflow to start learning the new system now? That makes no sense.

Has anyone taken any CE that really explains the UAD 3.6 line by line? There are so many unanswered questions about what data is actually needed. That to me is the first step. The next step is learning the software. But unless I know what the requirements of the UAD 3.6 is, using the software becomes an exercise in futility.
I’m in a live class right now, don’t waste your time. It’s just a read through of the GSE materials available online. At this point just keep on doing what you do, hopefully next summer something worth taking will be out there.

Time=$

Time spent learning 'The Abomination' today=Time not available to make $ in the present system.

I could get real cute, but will just add that this is not rocket science.

And FYI, hate to spoil it for everyone BUT per the instructor classes are being developed for each section (SCA, Cost, Income) because reporting will be scrutinized. So I would wait on those classes, this class is a flat out waste of time already.

This is one massive **** show that the GSE's have pulled. Why anyone new would enter this profession now is beyond me. The only thing I can think of is that they are purposely trying to get rid of current appraisers in order for them to march to Washington and say since we don't have enough appraiser, we need to go to exclusively AVM's.

Will the reporting be scrutinized for the dinky fees of the two extremely difficult appraisals assigned a month that are left after the GSEs pushed the alternative values and waivers?
Okay...

In all fairness to the instructor, at this point there really isn't anything more to do than read the published GSE materials.

I'm hoping the classes in development are put together by appraisers who actually work in the field, not connected insta-toot members who haven't produced a GSE report in decades.
