Passive voice vs active voice.
Was taught pre-1980 everything to be expressed in 3rd person = passive voice. Then 40 years later in completing Bachelor degree had to take 3rd year writing course (CLEPs too long ago) and medical ethics...both taught active voice = 1st person or 1st person plural.
As others point out, a person makes a decision about the data and draws a conclusion...
Here's a thought, given the age of most appraisers perhaps there's a correlation in not having been forced to only write 1st person to pass a class...I'd say I was that person before, not so much anymore.

I thought you meant what format? I write it in a Word doc and insert it into the form as a PDF if it is that blasted AppraisalPort. Otherwise I copy and paste it into an addendum in the form. I use Excel a lot and the images go into the Word doc and those easily move into the form that way. Like my fellow Michigander, I like writing in first person, since I am the appraiser, not someone else.
