I

It's like that sometimes,
Kinda like, If you don't sell a home thus week, doesn't disqualify you from being a real estate agent. It might be a slow time, that's all.

This is why appraisers have no credibility.

How can you not understand the meaning of the word average?

If you appraise, on average, zero houses per week, you are not an appraiser. If you sell, on average, zero houses per week, you are not a real estate agent.

Flawed poll.

0-3 should have been an option.

Zero should have been an option for sure.
I completely disagree with your "flawed poll" misanalysis. You can't seem to get past the part of the poll that seeks results about the "average appraiser" This obviously doesn't include you or a handful of friends that you know, so you can't relate. It's not all about YOU!

Based on the results of over 100 entries, 4-5 appraisals per week seems to be the median response. After 25 years in the business, I don't doubt that 4-5 appraisals by "the AVERAGE residential appraiser" is reasonable. I guess I should have specified "full time" too to keep this from becoming a flawed poll. :eyecrazy:

FNMA must really not care about appraisal quality. If they did, they would flag every appraiser submitting more than 1 a day for a monthly review.

Good to know.
