How much an average residential appraiser makes per year

I did a search for the job field. It stated nationally the average appraiser with 4 years or more of experience makes about 50-60K per year. That seems about right for MN. About 60K here for someone in the field 4-5 years and with an average amount of work.

I hear we are also an arrogant bunch! No sense of imagination or creativity. Like getting into long discussions about the value of "Zero". Always on the "A" list of parties and other social gatherings. So cute and lovable you just want to take them home and snuggle!

If you're talking about appraisers working as staff appraisers for lending institutions or the government I'd say those figures are about right. Of course, those jobs tend to go to the people who also have a 4-year degree.

Some of the fee appraisers give up a lot for the right to be independent. Others can really make it pay.

Pamela Crowley: I was talking gross. Some here make in the 6 figures, but most are in the 40-60K per year range. (GROSS) At least the appraisers that I know and talk to.
