Im looking at a 2004 fleetwood home. The HUD data plate numbers and the HUD cert tags do not match. They are in sequence though, last 2 digits are number 59 - 60, exterior 61- 62. Does anyone know if this is a problem?

They shouldn't match, they are supposed to be sequential, as in 59-60 is one half of the home and 61-62 is the other half.

I think the OP is stating that the HUD data label numbers listed on the data plate (inside) are not the same as the engraved or stamped numbers on the data labels themselves (exterior).

This is curious and would raise a red flag for me. I suppose it could be as simple as a factory error when applying the data plates and labels.

CANative,

I believe you are right, sorry for misreading the OP's question. I'd then check with a fleetwood dealer or go online and query them about the discrepancy.

your job as an appraier is to inform the lender

your job as an appraiser is to inform the lender if HUD seals are available and the number on the HUD seals

thank you

You are correct. I've always found the numbers to match. I will contact the dealer and see what they say.

Ok, the giveawy should have been the thermal zone. My subject data plate says it is designed for thermal zone 1 and kansas is thermal zone 2. It's my under standing that zone 3 can be installed in 1 or 2, but 1 cannot be installed in 2 or 3.

Now Im confused.

You can call the plant where the house was manufactured. Get past the front office and back to the engineering department or the sale department. If you have the serial number they can tell you what is going on.

I doubt if the dealer can (or will) help you.
