I would use the actual HUD Tags on the exterior.

Someone probably messed up at the factory and put the wrong Data Plate inside the dwelling.

Go to the ITBS web site...and download the number verification request form....include that in your report. Describe in the report what you found. It will be up to the lender to use the ITBS form to get the proper info from the reporting agency.

Who cares, the subject property will be un-inhabitable in 15 years or GONE. I always laugh when a SW or DW applicant states "it has been updated".

There's a ton of c. 1960's and '70's mobile homes in Lake and Mendocino Counties with tenants paying $700 to $1,000 a month in rent.

In the RUST belt, and low income purchasers the units dont last 25-35 years w.o significant upkeep. In CA every thing seems to last much longer.

No house lasts 25-35 years without significant upkeep. Last month I got to see a 5 year old house in Florida that was falling apart because it was never occupied and received no maintenance. Note this was a house constructed with "low maintenance" in it's design, slab floor with tile finish, exterior walls were stucco over concrete block, hip roof with high quality shingles, typical good quality Florida house. A little neglect goes a long way as does timely maintenance.
