There was never a time when I could send out a random person to go do the field appraisal work. They had to have a trainee license at the very least.

The term data collection didn’t even exist until the breakfast club got together and decided it was a way to keep more money in their pockets.

We didn't even have State Licences until about 1990. Not even MAIs had licenses and I got a brokers license in 1984 but also called myself an appraiser to expand my income streams. Everyone doing inspections was unlicensed and only the mentor knew who was a trainee.

That kind of behavior would’ve gotten your license taken away from you. But AMC’s do it and it’s considered an acceptable appraisal practice.

Damn it must be nice to have a seat at the breakfast table.

Try to stay current, that was 35 years ago.

AMCs are a bunch of sovereign citizens...rules for thee not for me :rof:

Let's just dump our licenses..... that'd be epic. They're not worth anything anyways. I would save over a $1,000 every two years renewing, plus all that continuing education that AMC's don't value, plus Eno insurance.... a bunch of money saved! Let's be cowboys!

If we’re resorting back to prior practices and making them standard again, someone please let me know when we go back to when I can send 20 runners out all over the state and sign off on 40 reports a day. I don’t want to miss that wave this time around.

And the good news is now they don’t even have to be certified since the inspection doesn’t matter. Damn I’m gonna get some on the cheap.

I wonder if the guys making $600,000 a year performing hybrids will be speaking at the Vegas street walker’s gala? Correct me if I’m wrong, but those were the numbers I recall being posted.

i dont know how these so called data collectors skirt home inspection laws... :rof:
