If the DSA controlled a majority in Congress ..... (appraisal related)

Sooo, we can now acknowledge that SCOTUS didn't outlaw babymurder on the nationwide basis after all.

I guarantee that if men had an equal/equitable level of post-conception "choice" that women have a lot of women would suddenly become a lot more competent with managing their own reproductive health. Less paternity fraud, too.
I never said SCOTUS outlawed it on a nationwide basis ( don't remember anyone else here saying it but I could be wrong)

I have no doubt this will be a socialist country in 10 years. Maybe less. We claim to be capitalists, but we don’t really practice it. Unless they permit younger people to participate in the capitalism games , they will turn to socialism. Privatizing gains and socializing losses isn’t capitalism. When you don’t let major corporations fail, you don’t have capitalism.

Young people look around and they see the guilded age. Hell, I see it too.

Well either vote in socialism or they will take it by force. When your belly is hungry, you resort to fighting. And that’s where this generation is getting pushed.

We have a small window to still enact America first policies, but I don’t see it happening. Lobbying and money in DC is too much to overcome. So the inevitable will happen.

How it affects appraisers, I have no idea. I think we’ll have bigger problems to worry about. The wealthy will as well.
This post reminded me of a message my kid sent me. He's in his mid-20s, has a full-time job with benefits as do most of his friends...they are all on social media so, this is most likely where this came from.

The American dream does not exist, the only reason it existed before is because the US Empire was at the peak of its imperialist power. It's control over the rest of the world was absolute. By causing horrific suffering around the world, the US could provide luxuries for its citizens.

Today, that control is slipping. The capitalists extract the greatest possible profits from its workers and the workers want to be paid as much as possible for their labor. These two goals cannot be reconciled and so there will always be conflict.

The problem in hypercapitalistic countries like the United states, is that the capitalistic class has near complete control. They've destroyed unions, gutted labor protections, bought favorable legislation to make those processes easier and are now able to make things worse and worse for the average person.

That's why you can't afford a home, or groceries, or a car. That's why you don't have any benefits. That's why every new job created is gig work. It's not because you are unlucky or that the country is going through a rough spot or the wrong person is in the Oval Office.

This is how capitalism works. It will always be how it works and that's why you will never be able to afford the American dream.

States rights, same as when other states allow the murder to continue past the point of preemie viability.
Murders ***. A direct attack on liberty, much less privacy. They'll be going over your search history looking for keywords such as "civic nationalism" under the next administration as a result.

If you really believe aborting a fetus is baby murder, go retrieve a two-month old aborted fetus, bring it home, put it in a crib and care for it like a baby and get back to us on it.

I do respect the viewpoint of people who feel that abortion is wrong. I I understand it. I do not respect it when they call it baby murder and use it to demonize women - if it were men who got pregnant, I bet most of their objections would disappear.

Very true.

The sad part is that corrupt capitalists like Trump, and many Rebulicans, - they demonize social programs like medicare for all by fear mongering about socialism and communism, using derisive terms like "nanny state" They say they are promoting rugged indivusalsim - yet they themselves have inherited wealth, the best health care in the world, send their kids to private schools and elite colleges, while they mock education for everyone else and deprive schools of funding.

senator john Fetterman is threatening to leave the democrat party and go republican party if the democrats don't change their way
At least he got his headline today.

If men's post-conception rights were treated equally then most of their objections probably would disappear. But they aren't treated equally (nor will they ever be treated equally because women vote) so that's highly annoying.

My state allows babymurder. Do you think I'm emotionally distraught about that? No. I understand that my state came to it's position via the legislative process and not by order of the SCOTUS Imperium as an end run about the legislative process.

The day will come when artificial wombs are functional, and when that day comes we'll be able to transplant that baby and then send the bill for the remainder of his/her gestation and the lifetime child support payments to the individual who exercised their "choice".
