Okay, I am doing a second appraisal for a 2 million dollar/plus home and the home owner handed me a packet with upgrades, 4 point inspection and appraisal that was just done ( I actually did not know that was in there) I pick my own comps and always do my own appraisal, no matter what. After seeing the house, I had to look at this appraisal. It is one of the worst appraisals I've seen, especially for a home within this price range. In Colorado, it was easy to call up a board member and speak to them, if not the same day, they would call you back the next, this was 3 years ago. Anyway does anyone know what the procedure is in Florida or other states when turning some one in, this is so bad, someone else just has to see it. This person needs some education.

The last one I turned into the state they could not find anything wrong with the appraisal. I showed it to other appraisers and they were appauled by the overinflation on the appriasal. Good luck with the state, in my case they did nothing.

Send it of course to Pam C But also your Board, AG, Banking Regulator, & now also your Insurance Regulator cause they are getting nervous over
"Rat Fires"

& Real Estate Fraud Division, & ANYONE ELSE YOU MIGHT THINK MIGHT CARE. Sooner or later you'll get someone that MIGHT be intrested. Here in AZ; We are gaining momentum

Just caught my breath!

Thanks
Debbie

Isn't Francoise Gregoire on the Florida Board? (Sorry I butchered his name, I'm Icelandic, not French) ;-)

Damn, a guy that spells his name Stefan can't spell Frank.:rof:

Stefan,

Debbie should follow the instructions at the link posted by Mr. Compliant. Discussions with board members muddy up the procedure in Florida. it is considered to be an "ex parte" communication and will likely result in the member having to recuse themselves from any consideration of the complaint; either in Probable Cause, an Informal Hearing or in consideration of a Recommended Order resulting from a Formal Hearing.

Someone else did the counting during the February 4 - 5 FREAB meeting, but they said it was eight revocations at the end of the day, Errant appraisers are being disciplined in Florida.

And FTR, my last day as a member of the Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board was Tuesday, February 5, 2008. If Debbie would like to call or email, she should follow the links in my profile. I'm easy to find and might be able to walk her through the process.
