"Inflation is coming down"

35 trillion dollars in debt. Damocles sword hanging over us by a thread. When will it drop?
At the end of the day that kind of debt can't be paid off, we can only inflate out of it or go BK. We inflated out of immediate danger, and IMO that's why the gubmint is and will continue to do whatever it takes to keep the wolves at bay by monkeying with markets and monetary policy. My guess is we'll be forced to completely overhaul the US tax and revenue system in an effort to deal with the issue in 20-30 years or so.

It already is. Despite the Fed's best efforts, rates are climbing because the fiscal side of the balance sheet is still out of control. Biden and company threw everything against the wall beginning in August to make it look better than it is.

It is shameful that neither Trump or Harris talk about this. Although, good luck at winning if you advocate for less spending or higher taxes.
I'm pretty sure Trump has spoken up about this. Maybe he hasn't used the exact numbers, but I'd imagine its not the easiest to focus on, as more people are concerned about prices for things in their daily lives, its easier to communicate and see.

He has spoken about the debt numerous times, dovetailing that subject with the Federal government efficiency measures he and Elon speak about.

I drive a 2003 Trailblazer (major flex by me). There are some sensors I can't replace any more.
I have a 2004 that I keep around as a 2nd vehicle. Great engines and transmissions. The (Isuzu) tire/suspension setup annoyed me to no end until I leveled the front end and put Tahoe rims/tires on it. The factory should have sold them that way.

I bought mine used in 2012 with about 62,000 miles on it. It's up to a little over 217,000 now. I did have to sink a decent amount into it about a year ago. Overall I've been very pleased with it.

what type inflation is hurting cities to, but look at the real cause

The City of Oakland is cutting $63 million in spending to keep the lights on, $45 million of which is coming from the public safety budget, in a city where violent crime rose 237%, and property crime rose 70% between 2022 and 2023. “For those $63 million cuts, $45 million of those cuts are police and fire.
California Department of Justice data for Oakland says for 2023, compared to the year prior, reported violent crime is up 237%, robberies up 40%, aggravated assaults up 336%, property crime up 70%, burglary up 44%, motor vehicle theft up 214%, and larceny is up 31%.

Welcome to poor quality of life inflation, you big city dems.
