WOW 8O
how do you read through the lineouts? :P

cheapest ones that week
12 for .88 usually
seems I loose more then wear out

Lee Ann --

I know what you mean.

But on a serious note, there are minimal line-outs. I have used an inductive method for the last dozen years:

I only write down that which departs from my mental template ... exclusive of the interior sketch and exterior measurements.

I used to only use Pilot Razorpoint fine tip pens, but now as I am getting older :) , I am using Pilot Easy Touch which have a cushion where you grip it and are thicker all around. I buy them in bunches of 20 from Sam's and I don't care what they cost, they are the only pen I want to use.

I am currently liking the Pilot Easy Touch pens and will use up 5 blues before either the red or the black will be empty. Most importantly, I DISLIKE any pen, and perhaps that means roller-ball, which develops ink GLOBS as one writes ...... such that the next time you put that point to paper you will get a dark blob smear at the start. Any attempt to "blot" it just makes it worse ! All the worse when the weather gets hotter.

Ross --

You must be buying some cheap ink-blot jobbies.

I buy those really high quality Japanese ones. Never ever had a blot. They use real ink with a precision ball. For years I did not know that they were roller-ball type. The writing end comes is two millemeter size:s for the bold masculine writer like me and for the dainty more refined person like others.

There's one risk, though. Be sure to put the cap on before you put them in your shirt pocket ... any pocket.

You need practice with these pens. They aren't for the faint of heart or timid novice.

Always try to sign with my usual flair - the red one, otherwise a Parker sterling silver is my choice and a Mircographic .7 mechanical drafting pencil

I use a Paper Mate disposable pencil. Costs about 30 cents. I always use digital signature, even when printing hard copies.

Sheesh....
The way most of us carry on about how tough our jobs are, I was certain that at least a few signed their name in blood.

I use the Pilot VBall Fine in blue but mostly sign electronically now. In the field I use a Pentel P207 .7mm mechanical pencil. I love the Pentel, especially the .7mm - have been using them for 19 years now.
