Do you mean the treasury inflation protected securities TIPS? I don't know anything about it, but it says the yield is 2.42%.

Buying LTPZ right now is 6% yield tax free, so about 3% real yield. The chart is kind of a falling knife but it seems to offer correlation to the bond market without the exposure of inflation. Boring, for sure.

My utility bill was like $350. Not real happy. We are under like heat advisory next several days. I crank it up to about 80. Temp locally is about 100 plus next week. Heat index around 100 to 155 degrees/ We have FEDEX championship going on at TPC southwind. I feel sorry for caddies. I think we are losing that championship tournament in golf. It is too hot for golf. It is too hot for fishing this week in Memphis.

I hear most of US have terrible hot or rainy weather. They should come to CA during the summer. The weather is nice here.

Earthquake predictor who warned of deadly Colombia tremor issues dire California forecast

A geophysicist who predicted the Colombia earthquake has warned California is “in the crosshairs” of a huge tremor.

Stefan Burns warned the Golden State could be next after a 7.4 magnitude hit El Cairo Monday and two struck Venezuela on June 24.

He warned the region was “super overdue” but said Southern California is particularly at risk due to being across multiple fault lines.

He believes California could be in danger for up to a year as a result of the devastating South American quake.

He continued: “It’s that six-[month]-to-one-year time frame that we’re worried about, and if we get kind of past that then maybe we can start to breathe a bit of a sigh of relief.

I HOPE HE'S WRONG. BESIDES MESSING UP MY VACATION PLANS WITHIN A YEAR, A BIG EARTHQUAKE WOULD HURT MY REAL ESTATE PORTFOLIO VALUATION.

There was a 4.1 earthquake in the Bay Area yesterday morning and I wasn't aware. Small earthquakes more common in recent years.
Last night, drizzle rain. Can't recall rain in August here. Strange weather.
I hope El Nino won't bring disastrous weather this winter.
