Is it me or does it seem that the pressure from November and December has gone. We are back to normal pace and does it feel good!

How's everyone else doing?

Richard

Same here. I am not working the late night hours it took in October and November.

Things have slowed to a more "normal" pace for us as well. But, based upon conversations with area lenders as well as the reported record high new mortgage apps on a national level, I look for it to be an equally hectic spring. Interest rates dropped in my area today which is a sign that the banks have gotten relatively caught up with their pre-holiday backlog.

Me too, things are down to a (barely) manageble level now but I'm getting a lot of "stinkers  " that take too long to complete.

Just my 2 cents: I think the slowdown is just the result of little or no applications made during the holidays.
Now that rates have taken another "dip", and people are scrambling to pay holiday bills, vacations and/or IRS, the refi's will continue.
Have to agree with others---think the spring will still be very busy.
I don't anticipate a REAL slowdown until summer, unless there is a sharp rate increase.
You all know the business cycle----work like a maniac, then suddenly nothing for months :!: :!: :!:

We could use a break! Just a little one to get caught up on life other stuff and mail the Christmas cards out.

(I know-- be very careful what you ask for my child...!)

Anyone's crystal ball predicting what is going to happen when the rates go UP?

I have had a request for a 2075 from a large bank and also a drive by from a bank this week, very unusual. my people seem to be getting away from 1004 and going to something less expensive. Wade

Only got one phone call today. I don't know whether to be worried or happy!
