I avoid both, but I do use brown sugar when I barbecue certain meats. Corn syrup is a killer. I also quit using salt in cooking and at the table and don't miss it at all.Sugar is fine. It's the high fructose corn syrup, being now used, that spikes your blood sugar. Ever notice that corn is sold now pretty sweet. Breed that way on purpose.
