July Anyone?

Stayed terribly busy but the assignments are the pits. MHs on large tracts. Houses made from shop buildings, remodeled public building, garbage, pure garbage.

I looked at 4 properties last Thursday on the 3rd and wrote them up on Friday and Saturday. I don't like down time during the week. So, I was in the office all day Friday. My wife is out of town working.

I actually went to an inspection on July 4. Im going to Vegas tomorrow, and as expected, the orders started rolling in. Advice: plan a vacation.

I'm swamped! I've got a condo tower, grocery store, subdivision, office/warehouse and a distribution center in the pipeline and bids out on a half-dozen other jobs. I just wish there were more hours in the day so I could keep up.

Well, back to the grind...........my baby needs a new pair of shoes!

Good for you, Jason. If I lived in WI then I might give you a call about becoming a commercial trainee with you. :icon_mrgreen:

Business has picked up in the last few hours... three more REOs (all short sale purchases), two refis... one of each are in the same exact same development (one is a fully detached and the other is a townhouse... so, unfortunately, I can't use the same research data for both... but it does save a trip!).

It's at times like this that I wish that I had a secretary to at least pull some data and get the report started. It's tough being a one-person shop when things get busy!

This is my 1st post here in the forum and it's nice to hear some people are busy! I'm very slow...only 2 jobs this month....1 commercial and 1 residential. I just started my own appraisal company about a year ago and was doing pretty good...then June came. Not too good now. Here's hoping for a better August! :)

I have done more so far in July than I did in June. I was able to pay my bills with Jan thru March. April and June I lost money. May I broke even barely and I have my expenses down to the minimum. I am only doing Happy Hour once every two weeks.

I'm on pace to be in the black for July. It will be the first time in 6 months.

Nuttin in over two months.

Only one +/- pencil search to refuse per week. Maybe one "How much" request every 7-10 days from a public prospective short sale buyer. Never get a call back (I am always to high). Some hungrier than I bottom feeder cuts my fee and swallows it whole (deep throat style).

I see we are still congratulating successful newly licensed trainees on the forum.

And The Band Played On,

JS

Was slow for a while with expenses taking a whipping on the good 'ol company account... but business has picked up with a flurish. 4 REOs... 7 refis, 1 purchase and 1... hold your breath... retro field review! All of this because I was trying to take a few days off to finish our soon-to-be baby's room (rebuilt it from scratch while I had slowed down). Wife doesn't like me much right now because I told her I was going to take Thursday & Friday off to finish it up. :peace:
