The states have no say WRT this course, same as the requirement for USPAP updates. This is an AQB requirement at both the QE and CE levels. This is a screenshot from the current AQB Real Property Appraiser Qualification Criteria publication.

Don't changes in educational requirements for licensed professionals need to be based upon documented Need for the curriculum to change? There MUST be a rationale for **** like this to happen, especially a matter that virtually EVERY SINGLE PRACTIONER IN THE USA defines as illogical....
You'd hope that governing bodies of all sorts would base decisions on facts. Reality is, they often don't.

My point is that it's not the states' fault. The AQB did it. I might be wrong about it but IMO this was part of the Relman shakedown.

As far as I know, The AQB has no legal authority over states.

Same as the ASB - no legal authority over the states but they are the recognized source for appraiser qualifications and the states are compelled by federal law to adhere to those criteria in their licensing laws lest their licensing programs get decertified by the ASC.

It's the AQB that develops and promulgates the requirements for how many QE/CE hours - including the USPAP hours - it takes to obtain and maintain the license.

So The Appraisal Foundation paid Relman Colfax, a shakedown down firm deeply embedded in the swamp, $570,000 to assist in working with the current USPAP. You can not make this stuff up. The lack of accountability and corruption at TAF and the ASC is astonishing. On a side note, Dave Bunton gave himself a raise for 2022.

more n more I learn about the world around me, the more n more I realize that the current Washington administration is the impetus that might save the USA from becoming a place that no logical American would want to live. THANK YOU MR TRUMP & ASSOCIATES!!!!!
