Laser Measure Question

My 12 year old Disto just bit the dust, & it's time for a new one. When I bought the Disto, there were few options available, so choosing one was easy. Now the options seem endless...

Can anyone recommend a laser measurement tool? At a bare minimum, I need the + & - functions.

Thanks so Much!

I have the disto d 810. Expensive, but if you are in a sunny area a must have. Huge screen. Zoom in feature.

That being said, the way things are going, lidar, cubi casa, etc. I would probably just buy a cheapo or a used disto d810.

The disto will probably just become your back up.

Are any of the above working on an exterior scanning method?
Alamodes does. Scan to sketch. I really like it, but not accurate enough. Then the upstairs...I haven't figured that out yet.

For lidar, cubi casa has a option. It adds the wall. So you scan the interior and it then adds the wall thickness.

I guess the accuracy is good enough for the GSEs. In my market, all of the agents are using it..if you can't beat them, join them.

Remember that western movie I think from the 90s where the railroad were taking people's land. The guy said...you can't stand in the way of progress...

They hired the Pinkertons. Forgot how the movie ended.

As they say in the movies...can't get in the way of progress.

Is scan to sketch available for Android?

No. Only apple.

Although, cubi casa works on certain samsung with time-of-flight camera.

I use total for mobile and the form factor for Android is soon better. For example, in apple, you're stuck with the quickest on the left. Android gives you an option...being right handed....I want it on the right. Common sense.
