Good afternoon, Appraisers!
My name is Mary Hammer, and I am a RE/MAX Realtor in Fort Collins. While I love helping people buy and sell real estate, I’ve become increasingly interested in the possibility of becoming an appraiser. As you know, in order to accomplish this, in addition to taking classes, I will need to complete 2,500 hours of apprentice experience under a certified appraiser.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate and Finance from Colorado State University, have had my real estate broker license for about two and half years, and have worked in the real estate industry as a contract manager, front desk staff, or agent’s assistant for seven years prior to getting my license. I was also a licensed mortgage broker at First National Bank for several years as well. I’ve wanted to be a Realtor since the age of 6, and I’m incredibly passionate about the industry and learning all of its different aspects.
I’m reaching out on this forum today in hopes that you may consider taking me on as trainee. I know right now is a busy time in the appraisal business and the thought of taking on a trainee is overwhelming. Even if you just need administrative assistance with organizing files or scheduling appointments, I'd be happy to start there and wait to train until a less busy season. I'd like to get some experience in the field in any way that I can!
If you think we’d be a good fit, I’d love to take you to coffee or lunch and discuss the opportunity further! Thank you for your consideration, and I hope to talk to you soon.
