Manufactured home, build date versus installation date

I've always used the manufacture date as the actual age on the form and never had anyone question it. It's extremely misleading to state otherwise. Installation date should be different, however the home was constructed prior to installation....sometimes years prior. Obviously additional explanation is required.

I've seen differences between manufacture date and installation date as far out as 3 years. No way I'm calling a MH new in 2021 that was built in 2018 and sat in a lot for 3 winters. FHA can pound sand.

Get the recorded CA Form 433(A) from the Recorders Office. It will have the date of construction AND the date of installation as well as serial and data label #'s. It may also show the make and model.
