Have attended two separate seminars on the Marcellus Shale--no one painted it as quite that simple. But then again, you have an established market with totally different issues.

Lots of folks doing this. The instructor in my class for USPAP yesterday is doing these classes, same area in January.... While it has no impact on where I live/appraise (the shale does not reach into the SE corner of PA, I'd love to see one of these classes come to our area.

Scranton is a good haul for me, but not terrible... I may have to look into one of the January offerings. If Pittsburgh Pete goes, I can taunt him about the Pirates and Steelers....

Not a bet I would take...some shale wells won't produce for 72 months.

New Mexico is much nicer and you wont get snowed in if you are in the big city ... I vote for Albuquerque .....

Albuquerque, besides being really hard to spell, would be fine with me as I've always wanted to see NM. Probably not as many cheep flights as Denver, but what the hell.
