I forgot one more thing....no glare or reflections on the screen which is important because I have two windows directly behind me!

Microtek C783...they have some very kewl 19"ers too, but the dot pitch drops off abit.

If you have adequate room in your workspace, you might consider dual monitors. Some of the video cards have plugins for dual monitors. Check with your local computer dealers and internet for details.

This is especially helpful while multi-tasking on the pc. If you have ever used dual monitors, it's difficult to go back to a single monitor.

Regarding the monitor type, the LCD's are nice but the price differential makes them a hard sell. The answer depends on a person's priorities.

cheers.

Flat panels are great for standard business work but useless if you ever intend on doing any sort of desktop publishing. They're not based on an RGB model and are useless for any serious photo editing.

One of the newer gizmos I've seen is a TV hookup for your pc.
Plug in a pci card, hook up your coaxial tv cable (either antenna
or cable tv) and you can display a window on your pc which works
like a tv. Supposedly there is very little impact on your pc performance.

Has anybody tried this? If it works, I'd consider replacing my pc
monitor and tv with a single, upgraded pc monitor(s).
