---If we're measuring and diagramming the structure then the software will calculate the area automatically.
With the structure in the pic you start with the diameter of the circle and either add or subtract the cutouts. You don't have to get all those angles all at once. The CAD software doesn't care if you treat each cutout as its own area.
I just inspected this structure last week. I drew the lower level up in 5 different sections and moved them into place.

Log home, geodesic home, bermed home, etc. Proxies for "unique" property.
The software calculates the area from every enclosed shape no matter how irregular.---
So the software recongizes that the GLA is the area inside each of the squares, as well as the area within the borders?
All I remember from yesterday (190 degree at least) is that I counted 16 "sides" not to mention that the subject property has no public water and draws/pumps water from a well on the adjacent parcel, which is owned by the same individual who leases the dwelling unit on the other property. Borrower who is sunk in wheelchair coulda beat me in a race after I was done (well-done).
You should have seen the computation we used when plotting a railroad curve in surveying. Railroad curves are bad news when surveying. The software calculates the area from every enclosed shape no matter how irregular.

True enough if plotting. But to compute the curve of a railroad (back in the 70s) you have to keep in mind that there is a transitional curve so that at the tangent of the curve the train doesn't simply jump the tracks. As train speeds increased these curves have to be very carefully and slowly build curve to avoid too much side pressure pushing the rail and off the dump and into the ditch with a thud. One could overlay a google aerial image in Apex and then draw lines over the image using the center wheel to bend them to match the contours.
-------------Thank you all for your input it is appreciated.
My MLS does not have a search for "Unique" properties. LOL
In a related matter, if you search and included the whole metropolitan area how do you address the Neighborhood Characteristics, One-Unit Housing, and the top of page 2 of the comparable grid? Would you limit that to the immediate area of the subject is located and explain.
