I am never late with the report.
If the owner won't make an appointment in a timely manner, the due date must be adjusted.
It's not me that's late.
I am almost never late for an appointment either.
The trick is to leave half an hour or an hour ahead of what you expect you need for driving time.
If I arrive early as expected, I shoot comps first.![]()
Sounds exactly like me. Reports are sent in within 48 hours of the inspection. The only time I'm "late" is when the homeowner can't meet me till next Friday, then the due date is adjusted.
I have been late to an appointment once in 13 years. Happened 2 weeks ago - I was sure the appointment was 10:30, about 5 miles from my house. Got in my car about 10:10, looked at my folder and it had a giant "10AM" on it. I immediately called the borrower, apologized for the error and got there by 10:20. I have little tolerance for people wasting my time and therefore, always respect theirs.
